Permanence
A dewy dew drop, all pearly and transparent With all the hopes and happiness inherent Lands on a leaf sheaf, thin and lean With rays of the sun its body sheen. A wildflower, yawned awakened Seeing the dewy drop, enlivened Reason for dews existence? The flower queried Seeing the warmth grow, it worried. Dewy drop, naïve and cheerful, said On the lean sheaf, it sped, Wonder, why matters existence? Vanished in a whiff leaving no evidence. To the flower the sheaf replied Told tales of dew’s life dignified To come to the aid of a fellow being Permanence in deed and not in existence teaching
