Permanence

A dewy dew drop, all pearly and transparent

With all the hopes and happiness inherent

Lands on a leaf sheaf, thin and lean

With rays of the sun its body sheen.

                                       A wildflower, yawned awakened

                                      Seeing the dewy drop, enlivened

Reason for dews existence? The flower queried

Seeing the warmth grow, it worried.

Dewy drop, naïve and cheerful, said

On the lean sheaf, it sped,

Wonder, why matters existence?

Vanished in a whiff leaving no evidence.

To the flower the sheaf replied

Told tales of dew’s life dignified

To come to the aid of a fellow being

Permanence in deed and not in existence teaching
