Benevolent Savages

Image
Silence. Though the jungle chirped and sang with its own rhythmic cacophony, the silence was visible. All the jungle fowl was observing silence as the savage was passing amidst them. Taking their silent salutations, the savage didn't bother to even notice the beaver that had stopped midway of digging his new home, or scurrying of small fowls, who unaware that they would not even make a morsel for this savage, ran for their lives in vain. The savage didn't have time to pluck their soft plumes only to find a slice of small scanty meat attached to hollow bones. It needed a meal, suited to the king of the jungle. Upon reaching the waterhole, the only social hub of the jungle folk, the cool breeze greeted the savage and informed him of the animals that were here to quench their thirst. Giving a quick surveilling look for possible disturbance in his familiar environment, the savage actually portrayed a modern housewife, who when after returning home from work though tired will walk

A s the snailing traffic came to halt at the signal, out of nowhere kids from age of 8 to 14 came towards the cars in the traffic. In their little hands, they held a spray bottle, filled with white liquid, probably soap water, and a wipe. They would each pick a car and would spray white foamy liquid on the windshield and give it a quick rub with the wipes they held in the other hand and they would then ask for a rupee or two for the little effort they did for the car owners.  Akhilesh, was quite excited that day, he had worked only two hours and managed to get 100 rupees from wiping 20 or more car screens, but this wasn't going to be enough.   When incessant knocking, awakened Raj from his Simran dreams, his very first thought was to kill the person knocking on the door. Why and who might be knocking, this thought came in second when suddenly he realized that he would really not like going to jail, where there are practically no doors. At the very least, he can shut his door to the world and go back to his sweet sleep. As the knocking didn't stop, he got up, threw his pillow aside, and walked towards the bathroom...this was urgent, knocking is eternal, it will never stop, but he must visit the loo and freshen up... 15mins later when after being washed and brushed, he wiped his face with a towel and threw it on the bed, looked into the mirror. He realized that his eyes were frowning and they needed to laugh. Nevertheless, he put on a fake smile and walked to the door, whose hinges were now themselves irritated by knocking started shouting! Raj opened the door and behold it was Sharma Uncle, At the age of 70 and 2 he had

Mayan Monumental Architecture Worshipping Light. Architecture is probably the most ancient of skill and technology besides fire, one would say even before the fire...! When the first nomads wandered the red sea desert and made their way across the Ural watershed mountain range, they searched for shelter from the extreme cold, that would define the resilience of humankind in the next epoch. What was the first thought? Where did we as humans become so entranced by the way his cave looked? Did it have enough big crevice to accommodate his wandering band? Was it near a river or lake where he could satiate his thirst and live on silver armored fishes? Was it near fruit-bearing trees for the fire is yet to be invented and the moon is probably the mightiest god than the sun as it lights the endless darkness that creeps up slowly as the sun takes the rest? All these questions made this caveman find answers, the answer was to have a cave long enough, near water, near the trees bearing fruits.
