The Underdog Part 1

Browny was born blind and deaf, it took him 10 days to see the world he was born in and another 5 days more to listen to his mother's voice. When Browny opened his eyes, he was happy to see his mother and another 7 siblings of his who were still developing their eyesight. wagging the little adage of flesh called a tail, he would run and play all day. His mother would only leave them at night when they would for some time fast asleep and get the food for herself. Her entire day was spent calling her litter not to venture too far or bathing them clean by licking them to her satisfaction.

Little aware that their world was the center place garbage dump of a large metropolis. There were other tribes of dogs, and a battle would ensue for the prime real estate of the dump yard. The highest and fiercest price had to be paid for the place called wet garbage dumping area. Many a dog went to that area never to be seen again. It was said that the wet garbage dump area was ruled by a spotty clan, a mixed breed of a rottweiler and greyhound, they patrolled and controlled the area with a martial demeanor. Any paws that were not theirs were wiped out of the dump yard's universe forever.

Well that was a world our browny was born in, from his early childhood he would always walk behind his mother, never falling behind, never leaving her sight, and would play only with a sibling or two, he liked tail pulling and running around but this dump yard had rules, you will not make it if you can't sweat it. Two months after his birth, our little browny saw his first standoff, a bitch of the nether region had come to their area with her own litter of 5 they were slightly bigger and older than the Browny and his siblings. You can guess, there was a fierce standoff, both mothers growled and barked exchanging curses and challenging each other, when the nether gang did a futile and weak show of strength, though a lot bigger, they were far away from their home ground and soon neighbors joined the fight and the nether gang left the spot with tails between the legs.

Browny played quarreled and fought with his siblings, he liked chasing his siblings, rolling and swatting at flies. Often the fleas would trouble him, and he would feel orgiastic scratching his ears, biting his back, and rolling in the mud to get the fleas away. Though the atmosphere was filled with a stench that stench gave him comfort. It was his home.

One fine day, as the garbage truck pulled out of the dump yard, browny saw a red cloth hanging, and with no reason, he chased it because he liked chasing things and before he knew it, he was far away from his home and the garbage dump. He yelped for his mother, but she could not hear him,  he came out to the city road and there he saw something very peculiar, as he frightenedly looked around, he saw a vehicle, much smaller than, the garbage dumper, it didn't smell and from the window, he saw an animal similar to him in voice but different altogether in looks. Upon seeing browny, the animal barked in soft barks and was helped in the car by unknown hands.

As the vehicle sped away, leaving behind black smoke which choked Browny, he gasped to breathe. He looked around once more and started his long march behind the black smoke. He wanted to sit in a vehicle like he saw and when darkness dawned on the dump yard his home was far behind and the glittering lights of the city were welcoming him.
