Who does not like to be happy, it's almost impossible to find a person on this planet who would choose sadness or any other state rather than happiness. So if we consider happiness as the state of being content with oneself, then why so many people around us are unhappy or look unhappy.
Well, the idea of happiness did one day take root in the mind that was content, clear, and unstirred by external events. Happiness is a relative and subjective concept, it has nothing to do with what kind of money you have, how big your house is, or how costly your car is, happiness is where you find it.
It is right there on the smile of a child who gets a puppy from his parents, it is on the smile of an old person when he/she sees his/her child grow and get renowned. It is there on the smile of a hungry person just given food, or when a thirsty person has been given some water.
Happiness is there when you are in good health and run with your small kid in your own little marathon. Happiness is everywhere.
Look around you, Happiness is literally calling you out, it naming names. It has come to you in all forms yet you have chosen not to be happy. So, in the pursuit of happiness, it is not that you get happiness from certain things rather it is what do you do with the things you already have. If you are a kid be a better kid, if you are a mother, or father, or any role for that matter, it is your choice to be happy.
Yet people are choosing not to be happy, they are constantly running pillar to post, in the pursuit of happiness, but they are already having everything they need to be happy.
Every day when you look at yourself in the mirror, remind yourself that all that matters to be happy is making a conscious decision and choosing to be happy.
- Have hobbies or hobbies to take your time and mind from material and monotonous activities.
- Regularly detox your mind by hiking in your natural surrounding.
- Have the time off from the internet and social media(especially Facebook), studies reveal that Facebook is more prominent in making people unhappy, when they fell into the comparison loop of comparing their life with those event photos of their friend's post from time to time.
